When you connect with a direct e-mail with us, your first name, last name, and your e-mail address will be stored in our database for further communications and follow-ups.

• When you sign up as a user:

When you sign up on our website as a user to connect with a local expert, we collect your First name, Last name, e-mail address, and contact number. You may further provide additional information about your detailed address and profile photo after successfully signing up from your profile page.

When you sign in via Facebook we collect your data from your public profile, including your name, profile photo, email address, nationality, and other information provided by Facebook.

When you sign in via Google account we collect data from your Google profile, including your name, profile photo, email address, nationality, and other information provided by Google.

• When you make a booking:

When you confirm your trip with us, we collect some more information from you which will be vital for organizing the trip.

After confirmation of your trip, we may also require your passport details (name as on passport, passport number, DOB, passport issued and expiry date, nationality), passport size photograph, insurance number, and insurer's details with contact number, dietary requirements, medical conditions (only relevant from a travel perspective), emergency case contact person's details, and other relevant details.

When you use our website, we collect information about how you use trekguiders. We collect information on the types of content you view or engage with; features you use; actions you take; time, frequency, and duration of your activities, and location from where you use the website.

We may also collect your device information (computer, mobile, or tablets) including the operating system, hardware and software versions, and browser type.

B. HOW DO WE USE THESE INFORMATIONS?

We use the informations we have to :

• Book services from third parties like hotels, airlines, transportations, etc. required for your trip.

First and foremost, we do not sell any of your information to anyone or do not share your private details with anyone unless it is vital for booking trips and services from third parties involved in organizing your trip in the destinations we operate. 

Below mentioned are some organizations where your partial details will be shared in order to confirm products/ services for you.

• Airlines: While we book domestic flights for you, your full name as on passport, gender, passport number, and your nationality will be shared with the airlines company.
• Hotels: When we make reservations of rooms in the hotels on your behalf, your full name and nationality might be shared if required. 
• Permits issuing authorities: In order to prepare permits for your trip to mountain or any trekking destinations, your name, nationality, passport information, visa information, passport validity dates, birth dates/ age, travel destination, etc. will be shared with the permit-issuing government or non-government authorities.

D. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may make changes in this Privacy Policy from time to time without personally informing you. Whenever the changes at any points are made, the "Last Updated" date will be revised at the top left corner of this page with short information regarding changes made. You are advised to review this Policy periodically for any changes.
