Langtang Region
Langtang Region is located at the North of the capital city and is protected as Langtang National Park which is considered to be Nepal's first Himalayan National Park since 1971 AD. This region offers some most popular trek destinations like Langtang Valley Trek and Gosaikunda Trek where hundreds of trekkers visit every year. But this area was closed for trekking for few years after the devastating earthquake of 2015 hit this area and wiped out the entire village of Langtang. However, this region has managed to get recovered and people have returned to their original place to claim back their land and establish tea houses again for travelers' service.
No matter what this region had to face after the disaster, it will always be rich in culture and natural beauty. The views of mountains like Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, Naya Kangaru are stunning and the Holy Lake - Gosaikunda Lake is always popular as Hindus religious site welcoming trekkers to feel its holiness.
